Nudist Clubhouse and FUNN Offer New Ways To Connect
Living Free: Naturism & Our World and Naturist New Hampshire have long promoted the concept of interconnectedness for naturist organizations. The old model, focusing on the business of naturism rather than the promotion of naturism, relied upon exclusive communities, membership requirements, and separation between clubs, resorts, free beaches, and home nudists. As demographics and economic conditions have changed, that model has suffered, while cooperation and cross-promotion have been increasingly successful in bringing new converts to the benefits of naturist living. Reaching outside of nude communities to musicians, artists, performers, and people in all walks of life has proven that “ghetto nudism” is no longer the approach to take.
Now we have NudistClubhouse.com, a free AANR-chartered non-landed club creating an online community to helps people discover clubs, events, and other people in the naturist community. While it still focuses on promoting nudist clubs, its open format connects with the wider nudist community, and its event calendar helps people discover activities they may wish to take part in — such as the upcoming day trip to Martha’s Vineyard.
Then there is the newly formed Federation of United Naturists and Nudists (FUNN), “designed to complement, not compete with, any memberships in existing U.S. naturist organizations”. FUNN’s mission is “to represent United States naturists and nudists internationally, connecting our community to the global naturist movement and giving us a modern, transparent voice on the world stage”. Charter membership costs just $6, with a deadline of December 31, 2026. FUNN already has been recognized by the International Naturist Federation (INF-FNI), giving US naturists a seat in the global naturist movement.
Then there is Zeffy, a payment processor for non-profits that sends 100% of ticket sales or purchases to the organization. Instead of charging transaction fees, it accepts voluntary donations to cover its costs, offering suggested amounts but allowing the purchaser to choose how much or whether to donate at all. NNH is testing the process with tickets to its upcoming Uncostumed Halloween Party.
This is all exciting news to share as we approach summer’s end and the need to soon move activities indoors during the colder months.
NNH Membership
We believe people should be able to choose their level of involvement, and Naturist New Hampshire welcomes everyone, whether they are members or not, as long as they bring supportive, respective, and non-judgmental attitudes. Membership does have its advantages, providing a $10 discount on NNH event fees, which alone can quickly cover the cost of dues. NNH membership covers everyone in the household.
We encourage those who elect to join to also include membership in the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) through NNH, which provides a discount as well as helping our club to achieve the numbers required to maintain our AANR affiliation; as well as the Naturist Society Foundation, which promotes body acceptance through clothing-optional recreation, education, and community outreach. Membership in those organizations can be incorporated into NNH dues options, or purchased separately.
Choose the option that is best for you:
Basic Membership, at $30 per household, includes a free subscription to Living Free: Naturism & Our World, which publishes the NNH newsletter, and members will receive previews of the articles being prepared for the quarterly e-zine.
Profile Membership, at $77, includes the features of Basic Membership, along with membership in AANR.
Granite Membership, at $125, includes the features of Basic Membership, along with membership in the Naturist Society Foundation.
Supporting Membership, at $350, includes all of those features, including AANR and TNSF membership, as well as helping with other NNH expenses.
Gold Key Membership, at $725, covers admission for two at all NNH events, as well as all of the above benefits.
In an effort to encourage more young adults to participate in naturist activities, basic membership fees are waived for those between the ages of 18 and 35. To receive a Young Adult membership card, submit a photocopy of a driver’s license, student ID, or other documentation. Mail with the application form posted at https://www.natnh.com/join to: NNH, 125 Summer St., Bristol NH 03222.
