Mostly sunny with a high of 85. That could be the forecast for almost any day in the last two weeks, but it happens to be the forecast for Saturday, August 16, which is when Phil will hold his next cookout at his private location in southern New Hampshire.
Phil’s Woods, as it is known, is a secluded clearing for barbecuing and sunning. There is a cabin serving as a kitchen, with refrigerator, another for sheltering during a rainstorm, another with a hot tub, and one serving as a bathroom. He has chairs and tables with umbrellas, but people are welcome to bring their own chairs as well. Contributions of items to accompany the barbecue are welcome.
The following weekend, on Saturday, August 23, Tom Moore of NNH and the Northern Exposure Sun Club, will lead a day trip to Moshup Beach in Aquinnah on Martha’s Vineyard. This is a trip sponsored by Pilgrim Naturists in the Boston area, with support from Naturist New Hampshire.
Next month, on Saturday, September 13, NNH has scheduled a visit to Longnook Beach on the Cape Cod National Seashore. There is a traditional nude area of the beach, although it is not officially sanctioned by the CCNS.
Phil’s next cookout, on Saturday, September 20, will close out the summer’s activities — unless NNH squeezes in another event on September 21.
