Musical Lineup Announced For MoonGroove Festival

The MoonGroove Music and Arts Festival has announced its musical lineup for 2026, featuring more than 40 performers, including both first-time and returning bands.

Among this year’s performers are the six members of Big Something: Ben Vinograd on drums, Casey Cranford on saxophone and electronic wind instrument, Matt Laird on bass, Jesse Hensley on lead guitar and vocals, Josh Kagel on keyboards and trumpet, and Nick MacDaniels on guitar and lead vocals. Big Something’s music is a fusion of improvisational alternative rock with funk, reggae, jazz, electronica, and heavy metal.

SunSquabi is another featured band, with Kevin Donohue on guitar, keyboards, and production, Josh Fairman on bass and synthesizer, and Scotty Zwang on drums.

A third featured group is Sneezy, a funk-soul jam band that blends funk grooves, neo-soul rhythms, hip-hop beats, and rock energy into its own unique sound, drawing upon Chicago’s rich musical heritage. Brett O’Connor provides lead vocals and harmonica with Jack Holland on vocals and acoustic guitar. They are joined by Austin Lutter on electric guitar and background vocals, Danny Bauer on keyboards and background vocals, Austin Koziol on drums and background vocals, Destiny Pivonka on saxophone and vocals, and Tom “Chops” Hannum on bass.

Returning bands include the popular Hot Like Mars, Worldtown SoundSystem, and Carter Fox and The Union, along with Ginbee, Keegan Tawa, Minka, Mums The Word, B-Davis, Bally Girls, Beatblitz, Bosa, Brittpop, Dark Blue Paradox, Darlingtyn, Different Places In Space, Dini Daddy, DJ MOW, Dusty’s Moon Landing Party, Finewiththat, Fishing For Hippies, Gabriel Mireles, Galaga, The Green Planet Band, Gordon Sterling & The People, Jim Speese, Kate Dressed Up, Love Maximum, Mare Bare, Norwood, Paging Doctor Moon, Positive Reptile, Seth Kessel, and Steal Your Face rounding out the acts.
