NNH Swims
Pool Parties Are Now Part Of The Lineup
Naturist New Hampshire’s search for an indoor pool to hold clothing-optional swims has been long and disappointing, but now we have found a private pool at a farm in Berwick ME, just over the state line from the New Hampshire Seacoast town of Somersworth. The pool is housed in a steel structure on the side of the farmhouse, with its own entrance, and we have initially booked three dates, in January, February, and April.
The name Berwick is derived from the Old English words “bere” (barley) and “wīc” (settlement or farm), so it seemed appropriate to name the first swim, on Saturday, January 3, the “Barley Farm Pool Party”. All of the swims will run from noon to 4 p.m.
The February swim will take place on Sunday, February 15, which coincides with National I Want Butterscotch Day, thus NNH’s "Butterscotch Pool Party”. We’ll be at the Inn at East Hill Farm in Troy for our annual “Unwearin’ o’ the Green” St. Patrick’s Day party on Sunday, March 15, but will return to Berwick on Saturday, April 18, for an “Animal Cracker Pool Party” celebrating National Animal Cracker Day.
The farm offers plenty of parking in the driveway (they will clear it of their own vehicles and machinery), and the pool entrance is around to the right of the farmhouse. Guests are asked to bring their own towels and snacks to share, along with optional pool chairs — there are several already there, but depending upon the number attending, we may need more. NNH will provide water and sodas, but you may bring your own drinks as well.
